Downloading And Installing FileZilla

Let’s start off with downloading our file transfer program. In the address bar of your browser go to www.download.com and in the search bar type in ‘Filezilla’. You will find yourself in front of a screen similar to Figure 3-1.

The first result in this page is FileZilla 3.2.2.1, in your case the version number may be different. Click the ‘Download Now’ button to download the application. Make sure to save this file to an accessible location on your computer.  

After the file has been successfully saved navigate to that location and open the application installer. You may need to choose ‘Run’ to open the file. Eventually you should find yourself in front of the Filezilla license agreement as shown in Figure 3-2.

Go ahead and click ‘I Agree’ on the license agreement screen. Go ahead and continue through the installation clicking next or install until you have finished the installation. On the final screen of the install screen there will be a check box with ‘Start Filezilla now’ next to it. If this is checked the application will be started after you hit the complete button. If that option was not checked you may open the application by double clicking the icon on your desktop or in your program directory. The first time you open the application you may be prompted with the following dialog shown in Figure 3-3.

This welcome dialog is just asking you to report any bugs during your experience using the Filezilla application. Press ‘OK’ and the filezilla application will open as shown in Figure 3-4.

The Filezilla application can be looked at like a windows explorer. In the middle left column are the files located on your local machine. When connected to the host computer the files will be displayed in the middle right column. Let’s go ahead and connect to our host computer and transfer our arcade script files from our local computer to the server/host computer.
