Arcade Customization Overview

Inside the PHPArcadeScript file, which was downloaded back in Hour 2, there is a folder called ‘templates’. There are several default templates already in this folder. You can change your arcade template by selecting an alternate template in the ‘Site Configuration’ of your Back-End Arcade Control Panel.

The templates that are available in your site by default are as follows:

  •          arcadeblue
  •          arcadeclassic
  •          arcadecolor
  •          arcadepink
  •          arcadered

You can see how each of these templates look by setting the specified template in your admin control panel and then going to the front-end home page of your arcade.

In this hour we are going to go over the fundamental files inside of a basic template. We will briefly discuss each file and its functionality. We will then download a ‘YourArcade.org’ default template and we will go over simple configuration settings to transform this template in to your own. Finally we will discuss a few basic tips on creating your own arcade template.

Okay, let’s go ahead and talk about the common files inside of our template directory.
