Google Adsense

The type of advertising we are going to use on our site are Google Adsense Ads. The reason we are going to use Google Adsense is because it is easy to use and simple to setup. A few other advantages of adsense include a large number of advertisers and a high degree of customization.

First, let’s start off by creating an adsense account click on the image link below to navigate to the Google Adsense page.

When you arrive at adsense.google.com you will see a sign up button above the login box, as shown in Figure 7-1.

Click on the sign-up button and you will be taken to the adsense sign-up page. Fill out the required information and submit your request for a google adsense account.

After you have successfully signed up for an adsense account and you login to your account you will see a screen containing a menu similar to Figure 7-2.

The Reports page will be shown by default, which will display your current earnings. The page that we will pay attention to is the Adsense Setup page. Click on the ‘Adsense Setup’ button and you should be in front of a screen similar to Figure 7-3.

The Ads that we are going to be placing on our arcade is the ‘Adsense for Content’ The other Ads we don’t need to worry about. We are going to add these ads into our arcade in the next portion.

Okay, now that we have a little familiarity with the Google Adsense service, we are one step closer to placing some of these ads into our arcade. In order to place these ads into our arcade, we will need to discuss a little about the ‘Ad Zones’ and ‘Advertisements’ section of our arcade control panel. It’s really quite simple. Lets continue…
